SLEDcc Social Media

To facilitate the sharing of resources, findings, and results of SLEDcc with the broadest possible audience on the web, a number of social media technologies will be integrated into the SLEDcc program.

Linking to the SLEDcc Webpage

Place a graphic on your own website or blog to link back to this website. The graphic will look like this:

The embed code you need is:
<a href="http://sledcc.wikispaces.com/" onmousedown="this.href+='t/b/80x15'; this.onmousedown=''; return true;">
<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/2565421597_96b8942ac6_t.jpg" width="100" height="100" alt="SLEDcc08" border="0"/>
</a>

Discussions, Community Building, & Resource Sharing

We have partnered with GlobalKids and the RezEd community to provide a web-based space for discussion and resource sharing as we approach the conference, and we encourage you to join our group there at http://www.rezed.org/group /sledcc2008.

Twitter

SLEDcc will have a live twitter stream! We will also likely tweet updates and useful information about the conference planning in the months leading up to the conference. Follow us at http://twitter.com/sledcc and we'll follow back! (Seeing who follows the SLEDcc Twitter account is a great way to add to your own Twitter network, too!)

What is Twitter? It's kind of hard to describe, but you can think of it as a cross between micro-blogging, group instant messaging, and SMS alert system if you choose to set it up that way. Read the full Wikipedia entry for Twitter for more information.

Sharing Photos

Photos, images, and graphics related to SLEDcc will be hosted on Flickr. Please join the SLEDcc 2008 Flickr group at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/sledcc08/

Please note: Any images or photos produced by a volunteer of SLEDcc08 in their official capacity should be produced under a Creative Commons Noncommercial Attribution Share Alike 3.0 United States License. We encourage participants and others to use a similar CC license for their own images as well, but it is not required to contribute them to the Flickr group.

Sharing PowerPoint Slides

Presenters are encouraged to upload any slide presentations to SlideShare for archival purposes. Following the conference, links to these presentations will be made available on this website.

Tagging Web Based Resources & Stories (Delicious, Digg, Flickr, StumbleUpon, etc.)

Please tag any pages, images, media, or other web-based materials related to SLEDcc with the "sledcc08" tag for better searching and indexing.
